Survived Teenage Pregnancy..

So yesterday I turned 20. I was going to wait to make this later to make it seem like I actually have a life. But I'll just do it now. And I didn't actually take pictures with my DSLR. Shoot me, I didn't feel like it. I didn't feel like being behind the camera and I didn't feel like teaching people how to use it.

To start off the day, I woke up with the sun coming in my window, then I went back to sleep and ate breakfast with my best friend, Sarah.
Then I picked up Hannah and we went to Rocky River to meet up with another girl to discuss tattoos. (I have an idea so if anyone wants to design it for me.....)
Oh yeah, it was raining for most of my birthday which sucked because it never rains on my birthday and it was cold, another downer. Anyway me and Hannah had planned to walk around Cleveland and Lakewood, check out some cool shops, etc. But we couldn't do that since it was raining...so we went to the West Side Market. I had my first crepe, it was alright.

Then me and Hannah did a little shopping at Crocker. I found out they sell some styles of TOMS in Journey's, just not the ones I want.
Then I got ready for dinner, picked up a couple of my friends and we went to dinner at one of my favorite mexican restaurants. I got a virgin margarita in case anyone wanted to know. Haha. Dinner was yummy, after dinner we opened presents and hung out, killed a piƱata,  ate cake, hung out some more, watched The Proposal.. It was a pretty good birthday..

This is a video of me opening Meghan's present :)

I'm Getting Bad at this Blogging Thing

So okay basically I don't even know if anyone reads this so I'm just going to say random things...like what I did this week..

So Monday: I hung out with two of my friends. Yeap! Very descriptive I know.

Tuesday: I went to my internship--I didn't do much, hung out at the front desk, organized, USED A LABEL MAKER, you know the important stuff. Then I hung out with my friend Sam we watched a movie.

Wednesday: I hung out with my BFFFFF, Sarah. We caught up on tv and stuffz. Then I journeyed to the land of Pittsburgh to visit one of my good friends from RIT.
So I got to Saxonburg around 9 and then I hung out with Prisca and we made food and junk, watched Pretty in Pink, fun stuff.

Thursday: We went to Pittsburgh! I have never been there and I'm a big city girl so this was some exciting stuff for me. (One of my life goals is to go to all of the major cities in the U.S.) We went to the Strip District and that was funn then we went to IKEA! I haven't been there either! We were gonna out after we got back, but we were both pooped so we stayed in and watched 127 hours..intense.

Friday: We met up with Prisca's sister in Pittsburgh again for breakfast then me and Prisca tried to figure out our way around Pittsburgh, we visited Pitt and stuff. Twas neat. We had planned to go to the Mattress Factory..but it was closed. poo poo. So we came back, took some entertaining portraits and then I went homeeeee.

Saturday: I went to a thingy with some girls and that was neato, then I hung out and assisted another Making the Moment wedding. It was probably one of my favorite wedding experiences because I chatted with a lot of the vendors and I'm not super awesome at initiating conversation but at the wedding I did! I was proud of myself. YEAP.

Sunday: Well seeing as it is Father's Day I saw my Dad. That was fun. We played this crazy game where you move a nilla wafer down your face by moving your face. I never accomplished the task.

(I'm sorry, there will not be another post like this but I'm tired and I enjoy writing like an idiot on occasion.)

An Update

Hi, so I haven't blogged at all this week and not because I was lazy, I just didn't have anything to blog, I thought I'd spare you the pictures of my dog... Here is what my week consisted of..

Monday: I relaxed for awhile, trying to get stuff done on my to-do list but not having all the motivation necessary. Later in the evening I worked out with Sarah, we played tennis! Well we tried. Then I went over to Hannah and Sam's for a little bit and watch Teen Wolf. It was very entertaining. :)

Tuesday: I met with my mentor Val in the morning, then I'm pretty sure I ran some errands of some sort then did more of nothing. I have a horrible short term memory.

Wednesday: I attempted to take some practice senior pictures of Sarah, it was really hot so we gave up. Then we ran some errands and then just chilled out for awhile.

Thursday: When my life gets interesting... I started my internship! I was a little nervous and apprehensive but my first day was quite awesome. I work at SPACES in Cleveland, it's an experimental art gallery. I got to know the gallery and also set up and prepare for the VAN Conference the following two days. VAN stands for Visual Artists Network, it's a national organization made up of different organizations around the country. I don't want to butcher what they do, so look them up! Anyway, every year they a meeting with all of the different organizations and this year SPACES was hosting it. I'm not actually sure why I loved my first day so much, I got to do a lot of hands on stuff which is always the most rewarding to me. I also get to work with a lot of different college students and I love college students! Not just because I am one, but I just love to get to know them and invest in them. The person who oversees the interns is really awesome and laid back. She told the director that I am going to take pictures for them. She didn't ask me, she just told him in hearing distance from me. I didn't mind, I'm so excited to actually get to apply photography to the internship. I think that this internship would have been much more applicable if I was still Fine Art Photography because I get to hear about and meet so many different people in the art world. However, I don't mind because art is still something that interests me and I know that I'll still learn a lot from my experience! All I wanted to do when I got home from work was hang out with my friends, so I did just that! It was a great way to end my lovely day. :)

Across the street from SPACES

Friday: I got to sleep in! Then I headed to SPACES a little bit before 4 to help out with the artists presentations that were going to be held at the Renaissance Hotel in Downtown Cleveland. The presentations were really awesome and interesting. They were all artists from the Cleveland area, it was really neat to see what the artists in this area are doing. (Made me love Cleveland a little bit more) All of the interns and artists and presenters that were there were going out to dinner afterwards. I kind of wanted to but at the same time I had a skype date with my lovely roommate, Meghan. It made me feel super old, like oh this is what people do, go out with their work friends after work. Anyway, tangent. So I came home, pretty exhausted and talked to Meghan!

Saturday: I had to be up early to help out with the VAN meeting being held at SPACES today. I didn't really have to do much but just watch the front. I did learn how to turn on the exhibition today, that was interesting. I headed out a little after lunch time and relaxed until dinner. Then I headed to one of my friend's graduation parties. I knew a good amount of people there, but I was only good friends with a few of them. Being the introvert that I am it was a little awkward seeing people that I used to see all the time but haven't in a very long time. I did however meet this one lady and we talked a bit about what I was studying and she told me that she knew a Pulitzer Prize nominee in this area. I was extremely excited when she asked if I would be interested in meeting him. So hopefully I'll get to pick his brain soon, his name is Ron Kuntz if you want to look him up. Meeting her was also a nice reinforcer that networking and meeting people is important even if it is really difficult for me, another challenge to take on. That's about all for today.

I apologize for the mass of writing and lack of pictures. I'll be better next week!

Then Comes the Baby in the Baby Carriage

Tara's Baby Shower was today! I helped decorate and stuff and I was pretty pooped by the time the party came around. But I played paparazzi, it was fun. I was proud of myself for taking so many pictures. I got a hold a baby and that was fun. I'm so excited for my nephew to be born!! I was listening to a girl talk about how we all grow up so fast, yeah you're telling me. I can't wait to see this little baby to grow into a strong man with integrity. I'm already proud of the little guy :')

Melt and Indians Game

So I'm a horrible photographer, since I've been taking my camera everywhere and uploading photos to my computer all the time, I left my memory card in my card reader at home. So here are some pictures from my trusty iphone 4. My brothers and I went to Melt this fabulous sandwich place in Lakewood. Then we went to the Indians game, they had star wars themed fireworks...haha it was interesting. We also went to steak and shake afterwards and it was delicious even though we were still full from Melt. Pretty wonderful time with two of my favorite guys. :)
